Most of the pop culture references are just there to be hip and cool, I heard Turn It Down for What long before the movie came out, but even that probably was put in so the kids can recognize it. Most of the Main Characters are SO out of character (What is this? HIT Era/Miller Era/BWBA/AEG Thomas? Crystalized? (As much as I think Crystalized is decent)). The movie is basically the Red, Chuck, Bomb and Silver show, Matilda and Terence are minor characters in a B Plot, Hal, Stella and The Blues get like 1 or 2 lines each in the film, And Bubbles doesn’t appear at all, WHAT?Ĭourtney and Garry are pretty pointless, you could have used pre existing pigs to fill those roles, like Ross as Leonard’s right hand (Like in film 1) and Foreman building the tech (he has the experience with making things as shown in Film 1) Hatchling overdose, if you needed a Hatchling plot, replace these new Hatchlings with the pre-established Blues who were introduced at the end of the last movie. Silver’s design looks NOTHING like her Game counterpart.īomb is an idiot throughout the movie, WHY? Red x Silver… EW! Wasn’t Silver a minor in the games? Red, if you want Red to be a flawed protagonist, don’t make him a stuck up idiot because we saw his loyal and smart side in the first film, if you had to give him an ego, make it a B plot or give him some underlying concern about such a big mission that he tries to hide it from the others. The Prank War, Leonard’s “New Plan” he was “Hatching” during the credits of the first film ended up being… A prank war… what? Zeta’s motive makes no sense, if you hate your home that much, just build a boat to go to a different island, you have several scientists in your arsenal Zeta. Mighty Eagle is SO out of character, in the first film you could excuse him being lazy as a result of hiding in his cave after a horrible screw up, but the second film turns a lonely legend in the Angry Birds universe into a coward ARE YOU KIDDING ME? MIGHTY EAGLE was NEVER portrayed as an utter and hopeless wuss who flees at the first sign of stress.
